Eggs Benedict: Why & Where?

Hey there

Finally getting back on track and what a better way than talking about my addiction with breakfasts. Specifically Eggs Benedict. 2018 has definitely been a year of obsessing over Mr. Benedict

During the month of September, I went on a quest to try as much I can and here are the results:

  1. Eau De Rose – Villaggio Mall – On a bed of Muffin

It was literally on a bed of muffin. Literally, a muffin like the one we purchase everywhere. I enjoyed it but did not fall in love with it. However, the hollandaise sauce was on point with that splash of paprika.

2. Fromage – Tawar Mall – Small but Terrible (in a good way)

I devoured it in just few minutes; maybe because they were tiny but oh my I loved it! Especially the crunchy crisps in the middle and the cream cheese garnish. They really made an effort into adding that oommmphh

3. Paul Arabia – Villaggio Mall – Love at first bite

I would go back for this over and over. Actually, craving it right now! I was so hesitant ordering a salmon eggs benedict but this has become my fave go to Saturday breakfast

4. The Breakfast Club – The Pearl – Sweet n Savory Combo

If you love sweet potato and don’t mind having it for breakfast then this one is for you!

5. Angelina – Gate Mall – The queen comes with a fleet

One of my favorite eggs benedict! Comes with a generous set of breakfast/brunch for just 150 QR. They are on the entertainer too!

6. The Cheesecake Factory – Multiple outlets in Doha and around the world – The literal all day breakfast

Eggs Benedict, deep fried chicken, waffles, sweet potatoes, and caramelized onions. This meal lasted the whole day! This is a dish I crave on a regular basis.

7. Laduree – Multiple outlets in Doha and France – First class breakfast

Ever wondered what a first class meal would like? This is one. Hands down the best I ever had! Definitely trying it in Paris soon!

Well, there you go. This is it. I am actually planning on trying more so this post will be updated within the next few months!

Sabah w Masa : A Man’ooshe sized portal to Lebanon

cover-photo

I struggled for a long time looking for a place that served authentic Lebanese food on the go in a clean and fresh way. Yes, it is a struggle for us. We love our food! I am still looking for that perfect Lebanese Knefe that we have for breakfast! Yes, breakfast 🙂

A while ago, I discovered this place called Sabah W Masa. They serve Lebanese food with several varieties. Now, whenever I crave mana’eesh, I order from there. The options range from the traditional zaatar and cheese to vegetable options. One of my highly recommended ones is the Falafel! OMG! You can order it flat and enjoy it as a pizza.

A while ago I had breakfast there and ordered some of their other varieties such as the Batata Harra, Kafta w Jebne, Falafel, and Fatteh bil Laban.

Batata Harra

At our household, we usually prepare it with Coriander. I guess they either ran out of it or forgot to add that ingredient…. Either way, it was okay but very oily. I don’t mind the oil as long as there’s coriander to alter the taste! Please don’t forget that next time!

Kafta w Jebne

I absolutely love this! It’s prepared with Kebab mixed with cheese, slices of tomatoes and drizzled with Mayo. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

Falafel

Served with Tarator sauce, their falafel is juicy and perfectly seasoned. Not dry at all! Really enjoyed it!

Fatteh Bil Labban

For those who are not familiar with this dish, it is made of yogurt, chickpeas, toasted bread, garlic, and butter. Then it is drizzled with fried pine seeds, cumin, and peprika. I am not a fan of this dish but my friend loved it very much. If you are a fan of yogurt, this is go-to dish for sure!

They are located in AL-Muthanna Complex opposite Jarir Bookstore and in The Pearl. Check them out in Zomato!

Cheers!
