Foozeesta Review #6: Terminal Burger

tb 10.jpg

Forget fast food, forget Shake Shack, forget In & Out, forget any other burger place that you love because this one is replacing it.

It comes from Bahrain with a really unique and funny concept. It is an airport style joint. Everything from their decor, menu, even the employees wear airport/airplane attire.

From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’re actually departing! The place is small so I would recommend that you take away your orders.

Even the waiter had a uniform on and a cheeky personality as well 🙂 I’d stolen a shot from him on the way out but he asked me for another one once I told him I’ll be blogging and posting his picture online. Oh my pinoys…. 🙂

Now to the food!!!! They serve 5 types of burgers: New York, Chicago, Mexico, Milan, & Beirut. Each burger with a it’s own taste and mix. I ordered the Chicago burger and it was love from first bite.

The burger is juicy with many ingredients inside in addition to the beef patty (DUH!) such as lettuce, cheese, and caramelized onions. I love caramelized onions and what are the odds that the burger I chose had it. YUM YUM YUM!!!!!! Look how huge the burger was for just 29 QR!!!!

They also have two types of fries: The Economy class & the First Class. I usually avoid beef bacon at all costs and I did order one without it. However, they forgot and served us one with bacon. Not bad. Not bad at all. The odd bacon taste was not even there. On the contrary, it was crunchy and sooooo damn tasty. The fries were flat & thick and definitely cannot be compared to fast food fries 🙂 Highly recommended.

Their menu was also soooo unique and exciting to read 🙂 Here it is below:

I am definitely coming back very soon (probably this week) to try out the New York Flight with brown bread. Of course, I’ll be ordering the 1st class fries and the black & white cake for dessert. I will post a short review on both on my Instagram and Facebook Pages once I try them out.

Here is a final photo with all my orders. They are currently located in Al Waab Street, a few meters after the petrol station.

Foozeesta Blog #2: Chocoglaze – Dar Al-Salam Mall

I discovered this place completely by chance while out shopping. Dessert places like this one are usually very quick to go viral on social media. However, this one seems to slowly take its sweet sweet time. I was very impressed from the very first sight. I wasn’t planning on even having dessert (or even dinner!) but I just couldn’t resist sitting at this place & trying their desserts. Their service is very quick & staff are friendly and communicative.

What attracted me in the first instance is the decor and furniture, Very creative & unique. It looks like the owner worked really hard on setting up their own signature. I wasn’t a big fan of the cartoon characters; nevertheless, everything went well with each other. Even the waiters’ uniform!!

I really really really really wanted to enjoy that giant teal couch, but they had costumers sitting on it when I arrived. Definitely, going back just to sit on that beautiful couch!!!

The wall murals was also really impressive! I believe the owner is a wanderlust and reflected that passion into their business. The walls were covered with murals on Brussels, New York, Paris, London & Beirut! Beirut!! My hometown 🙂 This place is so girly! Maybe that’s why it hadn’t garnered that much attention yet since most of the food bloggers in Qatar are male 🙂 🙂

 Decadent Ultimate Duo

I ordered the Decadent Ultimate Duo (39 QR). It is a chocolate sponge cake covered in milk & white chocolate. What I liked most about this dessert is that it wasn’t very very sweet. The sponge cake was just that. Sponge cake. No filling, no chocolate chips, no nuts. The melted chocolate was all that mattered. Oh, & that cute syringe filled with decadent chocolate. YUM!!! Highly recommended for the chocolate lovers out there! The portion was also hmmm I won’t say small but … enough! Meaning, you won’t feel bloated after. This was suggested by the (very friendly and smiley) waitress as their best seller.

Meringue Signature… forgot the rest 🙂 (35 QR)

My cousin ordered this one. She is a meringue addict ( I AM NOT!). Her reactions to this one was: WOW! This is also a sponge cake wrapped in a meringue-like cream. Plot Twist? There is ice cream hidden in there 🙂 It also comes with a side of warm melted chocolate & three little blueberries.

In conclusion, if you are a sugar lover GO GO GO!!

Foozeesta Review #1: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

This coffee shop needs more branches in Qatar. More than Starbucks!

Everything from their baristas, food, desserts, and COFFEE! Oh & did I mention they have the best selection of tea? Even the way tea is prepared and presented is impressive.

My Celine bag and I had a short stop at the The Coffee Bean branch in Al-Mana Towers. It’s definitely going to be a regular one from now on.

The Coffee

My initial sore purpose for dropping by was their Black Forest drink. It is one of my favorite drinks. Unfortunately, the crushed beans they use is out of stock thus I had to opt for my second and only choice. The black. and the black was yum! Very strong just the way I like it. Kodus!

The Breakfast

This is a new menu. Breakfast is very popular in Doha. People here love waking up early! As a result, coffee shops and restaurants compete on who serves the best breakfast in town.

The Coffee Bean’s menu is very interesting. It even had salmon in it. For some reason, I opted for the bacon and egg wrap. Why is this weird? I. Don’t. Eat. Bacon. I barely had two bites.

The presentation is nice though for a coffee shop that doesn’t usually serve breakfast.

The Desserts

Oh my YUM!! The barista actually helped me pick out their best sellers. She was right!

The Red Velvet was amazing, So light. All the red velvet cakes I’ve had so far were always heavy and too sweet. This was just perfect.

The Blueberry Cheese cake is also highly recommended. I always have a maximum of 3 or 4 bites of cheesecake because of the cheese texture. (Not a big fan of dairy). But this one was irresistible. The taste of dairy was not even detectable!

Here you go, my very first review. I chose an easy one as I am clearly an amateur with criticizing food. However, I eat a LOT. So there will be many food posts to come 🙂
